This opens up a whole new area of possibility, but the trick would be to not inhibit the cows from belching, but to pipe the Methane directly from their stomachs to a collection system. Methane is perfectly viable alternative energy source - why let it go to waste?
The next on the list is probably we humans who suffer from a fast metabolic rate, and hence fart excessively. Now if you could find a way to hook us up, we wuld be really getting somewhere!!@@##.
